Obituary for Harry Edward Archbold

ARCHBOLD, HARRY EDWARD, 72, a retired mortgage banker, died July 21, 2011 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion Hospice Unit with his wife Judy (Hattemer) Solgere at his side.
Throughout his career, Mr. Archbold was employed by several mortgage banking companies including First National Bank of Louisville and National City Bank. In 2002 he and his wife, Judy, moved to St. Augustine, FL, where although retired, he again was employed as a mortgage broker with Prosperity Bank.
Mr. Archbold enjoyed collecting books and reading, in particular Lincoln and Churchill biographies, and traveling with his wife. He graduated from Paris High School, Paris, KY and attended the University of Kentucky.
Mr. Archbold leaves two brothers, George (Brenda) and Gene Archbold (Francine Wayman) of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky; nieces Amy Binion (Brian) and Heather Hodge (Tony); great-nephews, Ethan and Aidan Binion and Maxwell and Marlow Hodge; stepgrandson, Adam Kuhn of Louisville; stepsons, Jeffrey Solgere (Tina), Andrew Solgere (Joan); and stepgranddaughter, Samantha Solgere.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville. An additional memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1st Presbyterian Church, Paris, KY.
