WHITE, HERBERT HOOVER, 82, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Spring City, TN, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired detective for the LMPD. He was a member of the Mason's Lodge #906, River City Lodge #614 of the F.O.P., the American Legion, St. Matthews Post, and he was also a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; and a sister.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Myra Jean White; seven nephews and nieces, Bill Cofer, Patsy Morehead, Gaylon White, Donnie White, JoAnn Keith, Donna Hadden, and Carolyn White; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
His services are private with Highlands Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
