Obituary for Hugh Eades

Eades, Hugh Lewis,

90, of Louisville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Helmwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born in Winchester, KY, and enlisted in the Navy serving in the south pacific during World War II after graduating from Lawrenceburg High School. Upon

completion of his service he held positions with the post office and the oil services industry traveling within Kentucky until settling in Louisville. He worked for Erdmann supply as a TIG welder and a member of the teamsters union local 89, until retirement 25 years later.

He enjoyed a long and fruitful life serving as a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons actively involved in fund raising. He was an avid fan of University of Kentucky football regularly attending home games. He was an active member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve (King); his parents, Roger and Minerva (Eubank) Eades. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Jackson and Brewitt.

He is survived by four stepchildren, James Raymer, Thomas (Susan) Raymer, Joan (Bruce) Wolf and Theresa Raymer; nine grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren and loved by his nieces and nephew

and family by marriage.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Highlands Funeral Home in Louisville and the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Saint Agnes Catholic Church with burial to follow.
