HELM, Ida, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital. The former Ida Williams was born in Owen County, KY and was a retired Pastoral Secretary at St. Matthews Baptist Church, where she was also a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew F. Helm. Ida is survived by her children, Steve Helm (Ophelia Lockhart), Stu Helm, and Gail Bowles (Rick); sisters, Orithia Hamilton, Mary Lou Hall and Nancy Perkins; and 4 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
