ANDERSON, JAMES DEREK, of Mt. Washington, passed away suddenly on July 2, 2011, at the age of 40.
Derek was born on October 19, 1970 in Louisville. He was a graduate of the University of Louisville and was a Profit Center Manager for CED/E&H Elizabethtown.
Although he was on this earth for a short time, he lived intensely. He touched our hearts and souls, and his presence in our lives was a gift from God that we will cherish.
Derek was a faithful husband, devoted father, amazing brother, loving son, and a wonderful friend. Most importantly, he was a Christian, and is now with our Heavenly Father watching over us. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Coni Pace Anderson; sons, Garret and Ethan; parents, Ralph and Lorrain Boone; sister, Rhonda Harshfield and her husband, Eric and their daughter, Peyton; In-laws, Bo and Beverly Pace; sister-in-law, Kim Pace Ray and her husband, Lonnie and their children, Brent and Madison.
A service for Derek will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Lane, with burial in Duncan Memorial/Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday July 28, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road and from 10 a.m. until service time, Friday at church.
