Beckley, James “Jim” Coleman, 69, of Louisville passed away on December 21, 2011.
Born in Henry Co., KY, Jim was a retired Local 89 Teamster and also a member of Southeast Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Wilma Beckley and many other loved ones.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Mary George with whom he shared 34 memorable years of marriage; he also leaves behind with a heavy heart, his four-legged friend, Franklin; incredibly proud children, Bill Beckley (Gail), Donna Miyamoto (Marc), Gina Compton (Clay), Roy Beckley, Joe Fields (Pam), Mary “Tookie” Black (Paul) and 10 grandchildren; sister, Debbie Briscoe (Jerry); brother, Keith Beckley (Missy); 2 nephews and 1 niece.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Duncan Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Monday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Southeast Christian Church or to the VA Hospital.
