MULLANEY, JAMES JOSEPH, 73, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of 48 years of Donna Abrams Mullaney; and cherished daddy to his daughters, Leah Mullaney (David Fennell), Maria Mullaney (Daniel Fitzsimmons) and Kathleen Mullaney Doll (Kevin). He was a treasured Poppy to his grandchildren, Lauren and Luke Fennell, Rory and Olivia Fitzsimmons and Madison Doll; and loving brother to Richard Mullaney (Jinny), Charlotte O'Meara and Mary Alice Hall (Dickie).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Mullaney Doll; his parents, John and Annie Mullaney; and brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Lois Mullaney.
Jimmy was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and Bellarmine College and retired after 38 years from Ford Motor Co. He served in the U.S. Navy, was on the board of the KY Motor Vehicle Commission and a member of the Bonnycastle Club. He was an avid golfer, swimmer, UK fan and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be missed by all.
His funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
