ASHENFELTER, Jerry L., 72, of Louisville, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East.
A native of Piedmont, West Virginia, Jerry was the proud owner of Dimension IV Interiors, and an estimator for Star Dry Wall.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Katherine Kitzmiller; father Joseph Ray Ashenfelter; daughter, Patricia Katherine Ashenfelter; and son Joseph Ray Ashenfelter.
Jerry is survived by his wife, the former Geraldine Valerie Wilt; brother, William Ashenfelter; sister, Martha Jane Custer; daughter Diana Baker (Paul); 2 grandchildren, Amanda Baker and Angela Bray (Chris); and 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Logan Bray.
He was a strong family man. Jerry centered everything that he did throughout his life around his family. A loving, compassionate man to all that he knew, he touched many lives in so many ways in his time. You will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m., at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be at Highlands on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
