FLATT, Jewel, 86, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Baptist Health.
Born in Louisville, he worked at American Air Filter for 45 years. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church, and an all-around handyman.
Jewel was preceded in death by a brother, Gaither Flatt, Jr. and 2 nephews, David and Ian Flatt.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Roberta Flatt; brothers, Rethel William and Donald Lee Flatt; nephews, George, Jim and Steve Flatt; and nieces, Linda Flatt and Lisa Jones.
Jewel’s funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 21 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, and also on Monday from 9:00 until time of service, at Southeast.
