SWEETS, JOE HAGAN, 89, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Christian Care Communities.
He was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and the Golden Key Club. Joe has joined his wife Dorrie in heaven. He was a 37 year career employee at American Air Filter where he retired to start another career at Framers Supply Co.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris "Dorrie" Marie Sweets; his parents; and sister Virginia Sweets Marcum.
He is survived by his sons, David J. (Angela), Michael H. (Pam), and Gary R. (Nicole) Sweets; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
His funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Ln. with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
