BLACKERBY, JOHN E., 83, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from Louisville Water Company and a member of Southeast Christian Church.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Dowell Blackerby.
He is survived by his son, David R. Blackerby (Mary); daughters, Susan L. Shee (Buddy), Laura A. Northrip (Dennis) and Robin D. Hodgson (John); 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. and 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at SECC.
