Harris, John T. “Jack”, 88, of Louisville, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013. He was an Insurance and Real Estate Broker, president of Jack Harris Inc., a former member of Professional Insurance Association (P.I.A.) and a member of Louisville Board of Realtors for over 50 years. Jack was a charter member of Kentucky Real Estate Exchangers (KREE), a WWII and Korean War veteran, a member of Destroyers Escort Sailor Association of Kentuckiana (DESA), VFW Middletown Post # 1170, St. Xavier Alumni Association and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Welcoming him to his eternal home are those who preceded him in death; his son, Charles Kelly Harris; brothers, George and Charles Harris and sister, Cissy Harris. Jack is survived by his wife, Martha Ackerman Harris; children, Suzanne Hedgspeth (Larry), John B. Harris (Lisa) and Steve Harris; grandchildren, Kelly Elizabeth Hedgspeth, John and Jennifer Harris and brother, Theodore (Ted) Harris. His funeral Mass will be at Noon Monday, May 20, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Ln. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes.
