Obituary for Joseph Norbert Schuler

SCHULER, Joseph Norbert, 94, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East. He was the owner of the former Schuler Heating & Air Company and was a radar operator on the aircraft carrier, USS Intrepid, in the Pacific fleet during WWII. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Gambrell Schuler. He is survived by his children, Dr. Joseph N. Schuler (Phylllis), Martha “Marti” Weihe (Buddy) and Joan Stone (Ted); brother, Jack Schuler (Nancy); 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Joseph’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, 2931 Pindell Avenue, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
