Condolences

Condolence From:
Condolence: I am very sad to hear of Joyce's death. She was a warrior who lived her life fearlessly both with and without cancer. She provided me with much insights and guidance during her professional career. For some unknown reason I goggled her name today wishing to share the video "Something Unknown is out there but WE Don't known what it is". My guess is that she knows now. May our spirtits meet again Joyce. Norwyn Newby MD

Condolence: Joyce will be missed by all of us survivors at OAK. We valued her friendship and her willingness to share about ovarian cancer. Joyce was a great presenter for Survivors Teaching Students at UofL. We worked many presentations together for the medical shool students and she never failed to mention that QUALITY of life was far more important than quantity of life. Rest in peace.

Condolence: Ms. Joyce, was a very fine lady in many ways that have been mentioned. She and I shared our interest in the beauty, grace and wonder of that magnificent animal - the American Saddlebred horse. Joyce was very intelligent, talented, classy and beautiful. She also had a great wry sense of humor - she "cracked me up" sometimes.....Joyce was higly esteemed by our family. She will be missed.

Condolence: Joyce was a real gem…intelligent, strong, determined, honest and full of life. She was a wonderful friend and supporter to so many, especially her sister cancer survivors and their caregivers in OAK, Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky. Her warm personality, lively sense of humor, elegant style…from the top of her saucy fascinator hats to her perfectly manicured toes brightened every room. My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with her loved ones. She will me missed.

Condolence: I have so much admiration for Joyce for the way she lived her life in spite of her cancer diagnosis. She is an inspiration and a beautiful person inside and out. I believe her postive attitude, determination and knowledge of health care extended her life far beyond what was expected. Joyce has made an impact on the lives of many people. What a classy lady - she will be missed. I am so glad I got to meet her.

Condolence From: Paul Koehler
Condolence: So sad to learn of Joyce's death, but I feel very fortunate that I was able to know her for many years. As a very wonderful "cousin-in-law". I remember the first time I saw her: John brought her to a family Christmas party. Her outfit was very stylish, and Christmas-y. She wore on her pretty silvery hair a small set of reindeer antlers, with little twinkling red lights! Joyce instantly made friends with everyone in the family, young and old. When she got her piano, one evening we sat and played tunes from some music books I had. She was very smart about many topics, and she knew a lot about 'behind the scenes' of the health care industry. Joyce, your sincere warmth and friendliness will be greatly missed. farewell.........Paul Koehler, John's first cousin.
