Dr. Karen Ruth Sorota, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the age of 66, surrounded by her family at home. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Ruth Quillman. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dr. Philip Sorota. Karen’s most rewarding work was raising her three children: Hannah Hall (Dan), Noah Sorota (Esther) & Nathan Sorota. Karen is also survived by her sister, Jan O’Brien. Karen displayed a deep Christian faith throughout her life, and is now redeeming her eternal rewards. She worked as a chiropractor with her husband at their home practice, Sorota & Sorota Chiropractic Office, established in 1975. Karen served her patients with great care and concern, and was dearly loved by them. The family offers special thanks to Hosparus for their caring assistance. Her memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, at Highlands.
