Killian Michael Wengler, 23, beloved son, brother and friend, was taken from us too soon on October 20, 2018. In only 23 years of life, he brought love and kindness to all who met him. He had the biggest heart and was born with an old, gentle soul. He will be greatly missed and will forever be held in our hearts and memories. He was so loved by his parents, Richard and Dianna Wengler and was a wonderful big brother to his sister Cassidy. Killian was loved and will be greatly missed by his girlfriend, Torie Daugherty. He was a beloved nephew and cousin to the Ohlemacher, Ghobadi and Wengler families. He was like a brother to his friends who knew and loved him. He had tremendous compassion and care for those around him, especially for the underdog or outsider. He was so smart and articulate. He could talk to anyone and enjoyed long conversations. He was devoted to his rescue cats, Smokey and Toasty, whose love and antics brought him much joy.
He worked hard and was a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky, Class of 2018 and a graduate of Trinity High School, Class of 2014. He was so happy and proud to begin his career at ZirMed, a Waystar company, as a Sales Leadership Associate just after graduation. He spoke often of working hard to be successful. His time at work was brief but he thoroughly enjoyed it.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8pm, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. A service will be held the following morning, Friday, at 10am, at the funeral home.
We ask that in his memory, you be kind to those you meet and greet them with an open heart and mind. Killian never met a stranger.
