Garrett, Larry W., 65, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012.
Born in Louisville, he was a U.S Army veteran and retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Larry was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of DAV and National Order of Trench Rats, having served as an Imperial Golden Rodent.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nuelle Garrett.
Larry is survived by his son, Bobby W. Garrett; mother, Bernell Sorrels (Richard); step-daughter, Alicia Schultz; brother, Kenneth Bosse; sister, Juanita Coleman (Bill) and three grandchildren.
His funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff.
Visitation will be from 2:00 -9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands.
