NALLEY, LEONA (TOGGWEILER), 93, passed away April 14, 2012.
She was the daughter of Hulda McNatt and Arthur Toggweiler, Sr.
Leona is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John M. Nalley; daughter, Merle Jean Nalley; and brothers, Arthur, Jr. and Gene Toggweiler.
Leona is survived by daughter, Suzanne Davis (Dave); grandson, John D. Davis, Ph.D. (Laura); and great-grandchildren, Arthur Keiran Davis and Sally Merrill; nephews, Michael and Steven Toggweiler; and a very special friend, Kenny Doerhoefer.
She and John were charter members of the former "Council for Retarded Children", giving years of service to it and Cedar Lake Lodge, Inc. In 2004, Leona received the WLKY "Bell Award" for her dedication and service. She spent many happy hours as a member of Highlands United Methodist Church, and Rising Sun Chapter #415, Order of the Eastern Star.
A very special "thank you" to the Eastern Star Home for their love and support, and to Hosparus for their special care.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. friday at Highlands.
