Obituary for Louise Alma Gatewood
Age 88, of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. She was born on October 11, 1929 to the late Hillery and Virginia Harmon. Louise was a member of Shively Baptist Church and an alumni of Louisville Girls High School. She retired from Henry Vogt Machine Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Gatewood, Sr.; sister, Lois McCleavy; and one son, Paul Gatewood.
She is survived by her children, Elmer Gatewood (Jean), Gregory Gatewood (Karen), and Anita Ramsey; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Friday, June 15 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40205. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery in Frankfort, KY.
Visitation will be from 2 - 8 PM on Thursday at Highlands.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
