OSTRANDER, Louise Lancaster, 88, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.
She was born in Georgetown, KY, attended Georgetown College and was a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she was a member of Kappa Delta and honorary fraternity Pi Kappa Delta. She was also the Chairwoman for the English Department at St. Petersburg Christian School, St. Petersburg, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ostrander; her daughter, L. Charlyne Chatham; her son, Gerald L. Chatham; and parents, Elmer and Lois Lancaster, of Georgetown, KY.
Survivors include her daughters, Star Chatham of Louisville, Lucy Chatham Kerman (Mark), of Prospect, Janet Whitten of Charlotte, NC, and Judy Taylor of Bay Minette, AL; sons, Charles E. Chatham III of Anniston, AL, and Robert S. Chatham (Karen), of Louisville; her sister, Bettie Armstrong of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 am, followed by a funeral at 11:30 to celebrate her life, on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Park, St. Petersburg, Florida.
