STEPHENS, M. Valerie, 89, of Louisville, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with a long-term illness on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her home.
Born in Marion County, the former Valerie Mattingly was a retired bookkeeper at Griffin Construction Company.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Allen G. Stephens, Sr.; children, Allen G. Stephens III, Barbara Arnett (Jim) and David B. Stephens (Terry); 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Valerie’s funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 9th at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with a private burial. Visitation will be Monday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Highlands.
