NEWTON, MARCELLA SLACK, 82, of Louisville, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Hardin County, KY, she was a retired Civil Service Clerk and a member of St. Raphael Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Newton.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Theresa), Jeffrey (Jeri) and Daryl (Tonya); daughter, Brenda Newton (Gerald Boston); sister, Veronica Metcalf; and seven grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave., with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
