MARTION, MARGIE (HOOFNEL) 71, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2012, at her home.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was loved by all that knew her, and we will cherish many wonderful memories. She was a faithful member of Highview Baptist Church for many years. She retired from her career as a nurse after 23 years of service at Baptist Hospital East.
She was preceded in death by her father, E.T. Hoofnel; and by her stepfather, D.W. Adams.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ken Martion; and by her mother, Margaret Adams; three children, Jeff Martion (Laura), Kimberly Vaughn (Jim) and Steve Martion (Andrea); six grandchildren; and five siblings, Lana Montgomery (Sam), Eddie Hoofnel (Barbara), Terry Hoofnel (Missy), Vicki Hobson (Doug), and Gary Hoofnel.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, located at 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial at Jeffersontown Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Friday and after 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
