THOMAS, MARTHA ELIZABETH, 89, of Louisville, went to be an angel Friday, August 10, 2012.
Born in Bardstown, KY she was the former Martha Elizabeth Byrnes, a retired registered nurse, member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Tuesday Morning Ceramic Club, Holy Family Altar Society and the Red Hat Club.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James R. Calvert and James H. Thomas; son, James Bruce Calvert; son-in-law, Robert Leslie; and grandson, John Thomas Calvert.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Leslie; daughter-in-law, Kay Calvert; grandchildren, James R. Leslie and Kory Leslie (Jessica) and James Bruce Calvert II (Jenny); and first great-grandchild due January 2013.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
