DORSEY, MARVIN LaRue, 82, of Louisville, departed this life Saturday, April 21, 2012.
He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a retired boiler operator from Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; four sisters and his first wife, Rita Mae Meyer.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pamela Smith Dorsey; son, J. Todd Dorsey (Suzanne); daughters, Debra J. Highland (Anthony), Pamela J. Luckert and Jennifer L. Dorsey; sister, Juanita; grandchildren, Rebecca (Stephen), Brooke (Todd), Brittney, John, Kurt, Kyle, Kristin, Corey, Rita Amber, Kirsten and Jordan; and nine great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands.
