Obituary for Mary Jane Kaiser

KAISER, Mary “Jane”, 80, of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Jane was born in Louisville to George and Mary Julia Miller on July 5, 1933. She was a graduate of Holy Rosary Academy and had worked for L&N Railroad, the former Hillcreek Manor, Glenn Metten, CPA, Bacons and Macy’s. She was a longtime member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; and 4 infant sons.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband, James Kaiser, twin sister, Joan Raap, sister Ann Marie Huffine; brother George Miller, Jr.; sons Donnie Hoffman (Elizabeth), Brian Kaiser (Amy), and daughters, Julie Aiken (Will), Susan Effinger (Chuck), Beverly Edwards (Mark), and April Kaiser (Bobby); 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Goldsmith Lane, with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 8 p.m. on Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to her church, or the WHAS Crusade for Children.
