Obituary for Mary Angela Norris

NORRIS, MARY ANGELA "ANGIE" JANSING, 90, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 15, 2011, with family at her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William A. Norris; and siblings, Helen Rogers, Robert Jansing, Sr., Dorothy Fleece, and Rev. Harry Jansing.
She is survived by her five children, Michael (Rosie), David (Ruth), Mary Ann Kuerzi (Glenn), Bobby and Ken (Kathy); 11 grandchildren, Kevin and Kristin Norris, Keith and Brian Norris, Matthew and Jonathan Kuerzi, Graham and Alexa Norris, and Sarah (Reddick), Katie, and Jackson Norris; seven great- grandchildren; and one brother, William Jansing.
Angie enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in various athletic events over the years and was an avid fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals. In addition to volunteering for the St. Joseph Children's Home and Sts. Simon and Jude Women's Club, she was a longtime member of the Dixie Homemakers Club and the "Lotta Chatta" Club.
Her funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
Her family thanks the staff at the Nazareth Home and Norton Audubon Hospital for their special care.
