I am a volunteer who sat with your mother just before she began her final medications. When I arrived she was being held by an aid. She had been crying out different things. She was still able to see and respond to words. She was asking for Jesus to help her. I asked her if she was a Christian and she said yes. I asked her if I could read her some bible verses and she said yes as well. I read her some prayers from a Hosparus Booklet along with some poems. I sang to her some songs that seemed appropriate including "In The Garden" and "Jesus Loves The Little Children". She told me that she felt as if she knew me but she was not sure. When I left her I told her that she was a beautiful soul and wished her a safe and pleasant journey. Other volunteers sat with her as well. I just want you to know that although I never had met her, I feel that she was a pretty neat gal. My condolences to your entire family.
