MEANEY, Mary “Sis”, 94, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Mary Loueva Dossett on October 28, 1919 in Fancy Farm, KY and moved to Louisville as a child with her mother Anna Dossett and brothers James and Gene Dossett. She was a graduate of Presentation Academy, a member of Jeffersontown Senior Citizens Center and a devoted parishioner at St. Edward Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wm. Murray Meaney; her mother; and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Meaney; sisters-in-law, Nell Dossett and Dorothy Meaney; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Her funeral Mass will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28 at St. Edward, 9610 Sue Helen Drive, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
