MCKIERNAN, Michael Hartnett, 67, of Louisville, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Norton Suburban Hospital surrounded by his loving children.
Born in Louisville, he was a 1962 graduate of Trinity High School and received his B.S. from the University of Louisville. Mike was a retired salesman in the flooring industry and loved to travel, play golf, and he was an avid sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine McKiernan.
He is survived by his wife, M.J. Milburn-McKiernan; his children, Kate McKiernan Thiel (David), Kelly McKiernan Blincoe (Ben) and Cary McKiernan (Amy); brothers, Ronald E. (Joyce) and John E. McKiernan, Jr.; in-laws, Jackie Pfalzer, Joe Fante and Sam Fante; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Mack, Matthew, Eleanor, Michael, Nicholas, Jack and Lyla.
His memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Saturday, November 19 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane with private burial of his ashes in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial visitation will be from 3-8 Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
