Obituary for Paul "Skip" Schell

SCHELL, PAUL M. "SKIP," 64, of Franklin, TN, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville after his second courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Paul was born in Louisville to William A. and P. Jean (Smyser) Schell who preceded him in death. He was a 1978 graduate of the University of Louisville and a retired IT Security Specialist with HCA Corporate in Nashville. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the 784th Radar Squadron, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, a former president of the Greater Nashville Bowling Association, a Roman Catholic and an avid U of L athletics fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Paula (Wayne) Schell; his daughter Paulette (Schell) Ehrich (Stephen); two grandsons, Curtis and Carter Ehrich; and an aunt, Paula (Smyser) Anderson.
His funeral service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Highlands Funeral Home with private burial later. Visitation will be from noon until time of service Wednesday at Highlands.
