Gloria, Melissa and Kyle my deepest sympathy goes out to you all. With the passing of Bob the world has truly lost a unique individual. I was fortunate enough to work side by side with him for 5 years at AAA and trust me there were very few dull moments. I always jokingly called him my work husband because we constantly picked on each other. He taught me more about the Vietnam War than any text book could or ever will. He kept the days interesting with his stories about his life and his trivial bits about history. He loved UK basketball and who can forget how the NCAA tournament time was more like a national holiday to him than just some college teams playing. At work we would turn the radio on to help pass the time and to this day there are still certain songs that come on the radio that I have to laugh because I can still hear him belting them out or see him lip syncing away to them. The lyrics to Bad Moon Rising will forever be “there's a bathroom on the right”. I consider myself extremely lucky for my path in life to have crossed with his.
