KREBS, Robert J. “Bob”, of Louisville, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Nazareth Home.
Born December 1, 1923 in Louisville to the late Charles C. and Adelaide Krebs, he was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Louisville Speed Scientific School. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a retired mechanical engineer with Vitok Engineers Inc. He was a member of The Bonnycastle Club, Hunter’s Club and St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Rose Schoenbachler Krebs; sons, David M. Krebs (Carol), Robert S. Krebs (Mary Lou), and Edwin C. Krebs (Susan Hamilton); siblings, Helen M. Krebs, Virginia L. Krebs, and James C. Krebs; grandchildren, Cory, Jamie, Julie, and Lisa; and 3 great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. Stephen Martyr, 2931 Pindell Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
