SCHROERING, ROBERT L. "BOB," SR., 76, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit.
Born in Louisville, he was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and Bellarmine College and was a retired realtor with over 50 years of service. In 1976 he was made a Kentucky Colonel and in 1977 he received the Louisville Distinguished Citizen Award.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Schroering; brothers and sisters, Edward S. Schroering, Jean Stuecker, Mary Ann Head, Gerard B. Schroering Jr., Carol Schroering and Elizabeth Link.
He is survived by his sister, Sister Mary Rosalia Schroering, RSM; sons, Marty Schroering (Carolyn) of Kansas, Tim Schroering (Cathy) and Robert Schroering, Jr. DMD (Debra); his daughter, Jenny Schaaf (David); and grandchildren, Christin, Erin, Claire, Elizabeth, Katherine, Andrew, Mathew, Hannah, John Paul, Joshua, Cristin Grace, Boaz, Abigail, Christine and Ryan.

His memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Bardstown Road at Lancashire Ave. Memorial visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Xavier or the Hosparus Inpatient Unit on Broadway.
