FULTZ, ROGER L. SR., 79, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Louisville, he was a graduate of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School and St. X High School, where "Roger the Dodger" was the star football player. He was retired from the Courier Journal after 30 years of service as Director of Advertising.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Glasser Fultz; a daughter, Laura; and siblings, Jane, Ellen and Bill.
He is survived by his children, Leisa Fultz Ritchie, Roger Fultz, Jr., Libby Marquardt (Andrew) and Amy Fultz; sister, Dorothy; brother, George; grandchildren, Stephen, Joey, Casey, Ashley, Morgan, Blair, Alex, Lindsey, and Drew; and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Dominic, Taylor and Payton.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Friday at Highlands.
