JOHNSON, RONALD E., SR., passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011, peacefully and without pain after a long and courageous battle with an insidious and rare cancer.
Besides being a wonderful dad and husband, Ron was a lawyer, judge, and friend. He lived large, laughed often and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, George and Calla Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Hesen; children, Ron, Jr. (Kathleen), Rebecca (Kathleen), Brian Johnson (Michelle); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Emma, Julia, and baby boy Johnson (TBA any moment); brother, Mike Johnson (Jeanne); sister-in-law, Nancy Klein and Vicki Lloyd; and father-in-law, Webb Hesen.
The family wishes to thank all who treated and cared for Ron, especially Belinda Mays.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crusade for Children or Chordoma Research Foundation.
