Obituary for Rose Marie Stevenson

STEVENSON, ROSE MARIE FOWLER CORRIGAN, 74, of Louisville, formerly of Summerfield, FL, passed away February 29, 2012, with her family by her side, after valiantly battling breast cancer for over 21 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Gertrude Fowler, brother Charles "Buddy" Fowler, and her loving husbands, John L. Corrigan and CJ "Steve" Stevenson.
She retired from Great Financial Federal in Louisville, moved to Lady Lake, FL in 1987 and retired from United Southern Bank. Between her banking careers she owned The Strawberry Tree Consignment Shop and founded the L.A.C.S. consignment shop guide. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion in Lady Lake, and was co-founder of the Tri-County Cancer Support Group.
Survivors include her daughter, Felecia Prather of Ocala, FL; her son Alan Corrigan (Leslie); four grandchildren, Krista Dardano (Nick) of Orlando, FL, Aaron Prather of Ocala, Natalie Corrigan and Michael Corrigan; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Ava Dardano; sisters, Shirley Rouse (Don) and Mary Bard; and several much loved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends were most important to Marie; friendships of over 60 years and new ones alike, she loved them all.
Funeral service is Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Church, 2825 Klondike Lane with a private burial at a later date. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
