Obituary for Ruth Feger Bottorff

Bottorff / Feger, Ruth, 101, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 after a short illness.
She attended Spencerian College and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She also worked at Trinity High School and the Children’s Detention Center for Jefferson District Court. She and her husband Bill loved to travel and square dance. They danced with the Daffy Dancers and many other groups. She enjoyed playing and calling bingo and playing pinochle at Senior Citizens East and Jeffersontown Seniors. She was also an avid collector of billy goat figurines.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and John Schmid; sister, Elenor Spencer; her first husband, William “Pat” Feger of Louisville; and her second husband, Calvin “Bill” Bottorff of Jeffersonville, IN.
She is survived by her sons, William “Ron” Feger (Diana) and Robert Feger (Cecilia); grandchildren, Bret Feger (Kathy), Deborah Feger, and Andrew Feger (Mandy); and a great-grandchild, Meredith.
Her funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 30, 2011 at St Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Ln. with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
The family thanks the caregivers and her extended family at Atria Stony Brook Assisted Living Community for many years of loving support.
