BECK, Sarah Margaret (Yeagle), 97, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, December 4, 2014, at Treyton Oak Towers.

Sarah enjoyed teaching preschool and kindergarten classes at several churches, including Christ Lutheran Church, where she was a member. She had received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisville, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Communication. She was a life-long Lutheran and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Besides teaching, Sarah’s other passions included sewing and traveling, having toured the United States and Europe with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Billy” H. Beck; and parents, Nettie and Merritt Yeagle.
Sarah is survived by her daughters, Annette McMahon-Bishoff and Barbara Sue Beck; grandchildren, Kristopher Beck and Samantha McMahon; and a great grandson.

Her service will be 1:30pm Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, 9212 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 2-6pm Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Preschool Program at Christ Lutheran Church.
