McGee, Sharon, 65, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016.

Sharon’s joy, love for life, and energy came from putting others first. She was a Vice President, Treasury Management Officer for Republic Bank. She proudly served 6 years on the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and was a recipient of the Bell Award for her volunteer efforts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Dorothy Hepke; and her sister, Janice Townsend (Bill).

Sharon is survived by her sons, Mark McGee and Brian McGee (Karen); grandchildren, Myles and Mallory McGee; sisters, Lea Ann Colvin (Marshall “Bud” – deceased) and Cathy Lentz (Tony); brothers, Bruce (Suzy) and John Hepke (Charline); and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon also had many friends, associates and clients that she met over her 15 years at Republic Bank who she considered her extended family.

A private service will be held for the family. Memorial visitation will be 3-7pm Friday, July 8, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or American Cancer Society.
