Obituary for Terry Wayne Edington

EDINGTON,
Terry Wayne, 57, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Baptist Health.
He was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, a KY Colonel and a lifelong UK fan. Terry spent his entire career with the City of Anchorage holding such positions as assistant chief for fire and rescue, police dispatcher, director of public works and administrative assistant to the chief of police.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, the former Marilyn Burns; parents, James S., Sr. and Fannie Lee Edington; daughters, Leslie Marie Malin (William) and Lynne Edington (Mike C. Northrup); step-sons, Adam S. Haysley, Sr. (Jenny) and Lt. Col. Brian D. Haysley, USAF (Chelsea), Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Connie Quire (George), Frankfort, KY; brothers, Jim, Jr. (Vicki), Steve (Anita) and Tim (Stacie); grandchildren, Hannah, Adam, Jr., Emma and Candice; and sister-in-law, Janice Burns.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 18 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands.
