Thomas, William Robert “Whitey”, 85, of Louisville passed away Friday, June 1, 2012.
He was a U.S. Navy WWII and Korean War veteran, a retired CSX switch foreman and a member of Grace Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Tom was preceded in death by his son, Steven Robert Thomas and sister, Lillian Mae Lashley.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Miller Thomas; son, Mark Thomas (Ellen); grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Ethan and Matthew and daughter-in-law, Margaret Thomas.
His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with entombment at Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. Monday at Highlands.
