WALTERS, WILLIAM R., 85, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Audubon Hospital.
He was a welder and an assembler for 37 years at American Air Filter, a member of Farmdale Baptist Church and formerly a Local 791 UAW member.
William is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Greathouse; and brothers, John and Mac Walters.
He is survived by his sons, Tommy and Terry Walters (Doris); daughters, Teresa and Tiffany Walters and Traci Sermon (Paul); three grandchildren, Michael Logsdon and Sidney and Sara Sermon; his brother James Walters; and a sister, Laura Elizabeth Sadler.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Farmdale Baptist Church, 1238 Durrett Lane, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.
