CORRIGAN, Winifred “Winnie” Sophia, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East. She was born on March 13, 1918 in Chicago, IL where she graduated from Immaculata High School and moved to Louisville with her family the next day. Winnie was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Winifred (Gavin) Corrigan, sister, Betty Corrigan, brothers, Lawrence (Sally) Corrigan, William (Helen) Corrigan and Robert (Betty) Corrigan. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was a retired administrative assistant for Süd-Chemie for 47 years and enjoyed many wonderful friends there. Winnie valued and treasured her friendships. She is survived by many wonderful friends. She cared for her parents with great love and devotion and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a fantastic sense of humor and great generosity. Her funeral service will at 12:00 pm on Friday, June 17th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Lane with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Thursday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
