Condolences

Condolence From: Carol Bailey
Condolence: My deepest condolences at the loss of your beautiful mother. Phyllis was hired to fill my job when I moved into another position in the office here at ACU in February 1988. She immediately became a wonderful friend with her loving, bright spirit which she freely shared with all. She and Charles left you all with a wonderful legacy and beautiful memories. Blessings and prayers.

Condolence From: George and Margaret O'Connor
Condolence: Like the death of any Christian who has lead a long, faithful, good life, Phyllis's passing is poignant, not tragic. It is a blessing to her to pass from a troubled temporal life into the blessed eternal life promised to us Christians, and it is a blessing to all the many of us who loved her to know that. We will always remember with joy both Phyllis and Charles and the friendship with which they blessed us. May God bless you, her family at this time of parting.

In Christian love,
Margaret and George O'Connor

Condolence: I was blessed to know Phyllis & Charles at ACU. Charles was Dean of Students when I was a freshman and I will never forget him wearing "jams" to chapel to announce shorts would be allowed outside of p.e. classes! I joined the staff in 1999 and sweet Phyllis was in the office across the hall. We had many precious conversations until she retired in 2004. Such loving and godly people. I'm so happy to know Phyllis is finally with "Daddy" again. Blessings!

Condolence: I met Phyllis and Charles on the first day I went to work for Abilene Christian University. They both welcomed me and told me (with tongue in cheek) they were sorry I had to work in the department I was hired for:-) I was still at ACU when Charles passed suddenly. Phyllis will always be remembered for her demure demeanor and the love of Christ that was always shining through her.
