Obituary for George Tatum

TATUM, George Givens, 91, of Louisville, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Norton Suburban.
Born in Nelson County, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII aboard the U.S.S. Pennsylvania . He was a sheet metal worker for L&N Railroad and belonged to the VFW Post 3636, Lodge 76 and Scottish Rite.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Willis Tatum; brothers, Chester, Gerald, Henry, Sam, Ray, and Billy Tatum; and sisters, Emma Allen and Pauline Howell.
He is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, who remember him with a smile always on his face.
George’s funeral service will be at 10:00am Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday at Highlands.
