My father, Paul Hagan, was a childhood friend of George's.  They grew up together, and my Dad visited with him in Seattle during the war.  They hitchhiked into Canada during a leave.  George visited my Dad last year while my Dad was at Nazareth Home.  They spoke by phone not two weeks ago.  He will be at the funeral home on Tuesday.  If you want to hear some stories, make sure to ask him.  I have some pictures of the two of them that I would like to share, but they are too big to send on-line.  If someone can send me an e-mail address I will send them to you.
