Papa Batch is just one of those great people you meet in life. He met & fell in Love with his life's sweetheart Carole & has been a faithful and wonderful Husband,Father & grandfather to his wife Carole, his son Bob, and Grandson Sam & Sam's Mom Maureen. Jack never met a stranger. When you dropped in on him ...like I would from time to time...especially when he had the keg out in the garage :) Papa Batch would always meet you with a warm welcoming smile, a booming voiced hello & a handshake that had been strengthened from all of the hard years of carpentry and working with his hands. I can never remember a day I did not enjoy sitting out in the backyard & listening to his stories of life and never hearing a bad word said about anyone. Jack truly loved life and loved people & accepted everyone for who they were & asked nothing more of them. He had a great sense of humor and was always a pleasure to be around. I am sure that is where Bob got his unique sense of humor from & a successful career as a comic. Jack knew his fate and what was coming. I was lucky enough to have had the chance to have one last conversation with him ,and as always he was at peace with what was coming. And it was just like him to be more worried about the Love of his life Carole, and his family than he was about himself. Papa Batch will be missed by a lot of people. I am just one of many. But we were all lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing him.
