Mary and Family, They say a man is known by his family and friends, and remembered for his accomplishments. I say Norman shall be remembered for his chair. Not a desk chair, not not a rocking chair, and surely not a throne. No. An easy chair. And from this easy chair came his warm gentle smile, a beacon to a safe harbor from the rush of our temporal lives. So much water under my stern, thie light still off my bow. I shall always remember him for his easy chair. For this should be our understanding of life. After days, months and years of standing tall, of answering the sirens call, know well that to rest and enjoy family and friends is the real measure of a life well lived. I shall try to live by this creed, to sail close to his wind, and honor a life well lived. Not a throne from which the world is changed or history written; just an easy chair large enough for all the world's cares. While his chair may appear vacant, behold a spirit that gives us safe harbor in the breakwater shaped from the arms of his easy chair. For now Norman, my uncle, you are our armchair navigator. Imagine the places we shall go, the people we shall become. Help up experience and appreciate that which.comes. Guide us in our travels and brIng us home to the omfort of your easy chair. Rest easy Norman, my uncle. Rest eternal in the easy chair of angels. We shall sail to the horizon and meet again your smile. With love, Mark
