Wanda Lee, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014.

She was the former Wanda Trosper, a devoted homemaker, bookkeeper, and longtime founding member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church where she played piano for the children’s Sunday school classes for many years and she attended Southeast Christian Church. Wanda was born and grew up in Corbin, KY and graduated from Corbin High School, where she was voted Homecoming Queen and Band Sponser.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Bruner; brothers, J.B. and Ray Trosper; sisters, Marjorie Cummins, Nita Peyton and Betty Yonce.

Wanda is survived by her son, Charles T. Bruner (Nivia); daughter, Judith Anne Braden (Tom); brother, William E. Trosper (Jacqueline); sister, Elizabeth Ann Buchanan; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with a private burial in Resthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Highlands.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Fragile X Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.

The family would like to thank the staff of Friendship Manor Nursing Home for taking such good care of Wanda.
